Russian Admiral Viktor Sokolov Resurfaces on State TV, Fueling Disinformation in Russia-Ukraine War

Russia's Defense Ministry released a video claiming that the commander of its Black Sea Fleet, Adm. Viktor Sokolov, is alive, contradicting Ukraine's claim that he was killed in a strike on the fleet's headquarters in occupied Crimea. The authenticity of the video remains unconfirmed. Ukraine's special operations forces are investigating Sokolov's status and have reported that 34 Russian officers were killed in the attack.
