Israeli Mother and Daughter Missing in Hamas Attack: Families Speak Out

A mother and daughter from Evanston, Illinois, are among the dozens of people missing and feared to be held hostage by Hamas militants in Gaza. Judith Tai Raanan and Natali Raanan were visiting relatives in Nahal Oz when the kibbutz was attacked. Family members have not heard from them since the weekend. The death toll in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas has risen to nearly 1,600, with Israel increasing airstrikes and sealing off the Gaza Strip. Hamas has pledged to kill captured Israelis if attacks target civilians without warnings. The U.S. has begun delivering munitions and military equipment to Israel.
