UAW Strike Ripples Through Ford Plants, Impacting Kentucky Truck Plant and More

The United Auto Workers (UAW) union expanded its strike to Ford's largest factory in Louisville, Kentucky, with 8,700 workers walking out due to the company's refusal to make further movement in contract bargaining. This brings the total number of striking UAW workers at the Big Three automakers to about 33,700. The Kentucky plant produces Ford's profitable F-Series Super Duty trucks and generates annual sales of $25 billion.
