UVU surveillance video ties Tyler Robinson to Charlie Kirk shooting as hearing unfolds

During a Utah County preliminary hearing, prosecutors presented surveillance footage from Sept. 10–11 at Utah Valley University showing a man matching Tyler Robinson moving across campus—interacting with Turning Point USA staff, grabbing Chick-fil-A, and climbing to the Losee Center roof before fleeing—in an effort to establish probable cause in the aggravated murder case of Charlie Kirk. The hearing also debated the admissibility of an affidavit about Kirk’s political and religious views used to justify a victim-targeting enhancement, while DNA evidence tying Robinson and his roommate to items recovered at the scene was examined and challenged by the defense. The unaltered footage and several exhibits were admitted, and Kirk’s family and Robinson’s parents were present as Robinson remains charged with multiple counts.
