"San Francisco Shaken by Nighttime Rush Hour Earthquake"

A 3.7 magnitude earthquake struck the San Francisco Bay Area during rush hour, marking the second tremor in Northern California in just over a week. The quake, initially measured at 4.1 on the Richter scale, occurred near the San Andreas Fault with its epicenter in Millbrae, close to San Francisco International Airport. There have been no reports of injuries or damage. The previous earthquake, a magnitude 4.2, occurred near Isleton in Sacramento County. While two earthquakes in a short period are common, experts do not believe they are precursors to a larger event.
