Armed suspect nabbed near Trump’s Los Angeles golf club ahead of presidential stop

Investigators later recovered an illegally modified rifle, a second pistol, body armor, high-capacity magazines, and other items at his Downey home, with notebooks containing concerning statements. The FBI and local detectives say there is no credible threat to the public; Taele is being held without bail as prosecutors weigh charges, as Trump continues a California-Nevada campaign swing ahead of the midterm elections.
