House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said that the tentative deal House Republicans have reached with the White House to address the nation's debt ceiling will be "transformational" for the American public. Negotiators worked through the night to finalize details of the agreement, and the bill is expected to be around 150 pages to make it easier for members of Congress and the public to digest. Once the deal is finalized, it needs to pass through Congress and receive Biden's signature in order to avoid a catastrophic default on U.S. sovereign debt.
