NC Rep. Chuck Edwards Withdraws Reelection Bid After Harassment Findings
TL;DR
Rep. Chuck Edwards of North Carolina said he will not seek another term after the House Ethics Committee found he fostered a hostile work environment and engaged in harassment toward two young female staffers; the bipartisan panel recommended censure, which would require a formal rebuke in the House if approved. Edwards will finish his current term, with his race previously viewed as a toss-up, and the investigation noted no sex activity but said his conduct could be seen as inappropriate.
