Tennessee school board member charged with assault after hug and 'hot' remark to student
Keith Ervin, a longtime member of the Washington County Schools board in Tennessee, was charged with assault after he hugged a teenage student at a public meeting and told her, 'God, you’re hot.' He apologized, the board censured him, and it said it cannot remove elected officials, deferring to law enforcement as the case proceeds, with his first court appearance set for August.
