White House Defends Biden Amid Mental Acuity Criticism
TL;DR
Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi criticized a Wall Street Journal article questioning President Biden's mental acuity, calling it a "hit piece" that ignored positive accounts from Democrats and focused on Republican attacks. The article, based on interviews with 45 people, highlighted instances of Biden reading from notes and deferring questions to aides. Pelosi and other Democrats defended Biden's capabilities, while Republicans, including former Speaker Kevin McCarthy, have questioned his fitness for office. The Wall Street Journal stands by its reporting.
