"Queen's Brian May and NASA successfully bring back largest asteroid sample in historic mission"

NASA's OSIRIS-REx spacecraft successfully delivered its asteroid sample, collected from the asteroid Bennu in October 2020, to Houston. The sample will be curated and preserved at NASA's Johnson Space Center, where scientists will study it for about two years to better understand planetary formation, the origins of life, and the role of carbon-rich asteroids in delivering life's building blocks to Earth. The sample will also be shared with the Canadian Space Agency and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency as part of collaborative efforts.
