"Bengals' QB Shuffle: McCarron Joins Practice Squad as Burrow's Status Remains Uncertain"
TL;DR
The Cincinnati Bengals have signed quarterback A.J. McCarron to their practice squad after a tryout. McCarron, who previously played for the Bengals in 2014 and started three games in 2015, has since had stints with several other teams, including the XFL's St. Louis BattleHawks. With starting quarterback Joe Burrow questionable for their upcoming game, the Bengals needed another quarterback on their roster. McCarron's signing comes after the team lost Will Grier to the New England Patriots.
