Jake Haener to Start for Saints Amid Carr's Injury Concerns
TL;DR
The New Orleans Saints are preparing to start Jake Haener as quarterback against the Washington Commanders if Derek Carr is unable to play due to a concussion and a fractured non-throwing hand. Carr, who has missed three games earlier this season due to an oblique injury, is currently in the concussion protocol and has not practiced all week. Interim coach Darren Rizzi has not ruled out Carr but emphasized the need for him to participate in at least a walkthrough to be considered for the game.
