Apple is set to unveil its AI plans for the iPhone with iOS 18, focusing on integrating generative AI into various apps and features like Safari, Maps, notifications, and Spotlight search. The AI processing will primarily occur on-device, enhancing capabilities such as voice memo transcription, media editing, and a more natural Siri. Apple will also introduce dynamic emoji creation and summarized notifications, but will not launch its own AI chatbot, instead partnering with OpenAI for custom experiences.
