Elon Musk's Wartime Visit to Israel Sparks Starlink Agreement and Controversy

Israel has hosted Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, to discuss the potential use of SpaceX's Starlink communications in the Gaza Strip. The visit coincided with a pause in the war against Hamas. Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu both met with Musk to discuss various topics, including combating rising antisemitism online. Last month, Musk proposed using Starlink to support communication links in Gaza, which was initially met with objections due to concerns about terrorist activities. However, Israel and Musk have now reached an agreement in principle, allowing Starlink satellite units to be operated in Israel, including the Gaza Strip, with the approval of the Israeli Ministry of Communications.
