Snapdragon X Elite Outperforms Apple's M2 and Intel CPUs in Benchmarks

Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite SoC has shown impressive benchmark gains over current flagship processors from Intel, AMD, and Apple. The X Elite offers near-desktop-class performance, particularly in single-core, and significant multi-core gains. OEMs can configure the SoC's TDP up to 80W, allowing for customization according to their requirements. The X Elite's Adreno GPU offers full DirectX and OpenGL support, but lacks features like ray tracing. While the X Elite shows promise for Windows on ARM laptops, its performance will depend on Microsoft's support for emulation and native ARM games. Laptops powered by the X Elite are expected to arrive in 2024.
