TikTok Introduces Passkey Login for iOS Devices

TikTok is introducing support for passkeys, a more secure and user-friendly login method, on iOS devices. Passkeys, an industry standard developed by the FIDO Alliance and the World Wide Web Consortium, allow users to sign in using biometric data or a screen lock PIN. This integration works on Apple devices and other devices that support passkeys. Passkeys are resistant to online attacks like phishing and do not allow apps to access or process biometric data. TikTok will roll out passkeys in select regions and plans to expand to other geographies and operating systems in the future.
