Tragic Plane Crash Claims Life of Alaska Congresswoman's Husband

Eugene Peltola Jr, the husband of Alaska congresswoman Mary Peltola, has died in a plane crash in Alaska. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the crash of a Piper PA 18-150 Super Cub that went down near St Mary's. Peltola Jr, a former regional director of the Bureau of Indian Affairs for Alaska, was the only person on board. Mary Peltola, the first Alaska Native in Congress, is returning home to be with their family.
