Two workers survive nine-day ordeal inside Nepal’s flood-ravaged hydropower tunnel

Two workers were pulled alive from 170 metres inside the Upper Trishuli 3A hydropower tunnel nine days after floods buried the site; Nepal faces a disaster toll of about 1,259 dead and over 5,000 missing, with hundreds still believed trapped in tunnels across 12 hydropower projects as rescue teams search for more survivors, aided by pockets of air inside some tunnels.
