"Discovery of Ancient Roman Shipwreck Unveils Centuries-Old Secrets"

An ancient Roman cargo ship, estimated to be over 20 meters long and dating back to the first or second century BC, has been discovered at the bottom of the Mediterranean sea. The ship was found carrying hundreds of Roman jars, known as amphorae, although their specific purpose remains unknown. The discovery was made by archaeologists and scuba divers from Italy's cultural heritage protection police squad and the national superintendency for underwater cultural heritage.
