"Pilots Asleep: Airliner Veers Off Course Midflight"

An Indonesian airliner, Batik Air, is under investigation after two pilots fell asleep midflight for nearly 30 minutes during a two-and-a-half-hour flight from South East Sulawesi to Jakarta, with 159 passengers on board. The 32-year-old pilot in command fell asleep for an hour after notifying his 28-year-old deputy, who was also found napping. The pilots were unresponsive to air traffic controllers attempting to contact them. Both pilots have been temporarily suspended, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the incident.
