Japanese company Exit offers a service where it resigns on behalf of employees who dread confronting their bosses. The service costs about $144 and involves Exit calling the boss on a designated day to say that the employee is handing in their two weeks' notice. The company has struck a chord with some discontented employees in Japan, with around 10,000 workers inquiring about its services every year. However, employers aren't thrilled with the service, with one manager describing his feelings as something akin to a hostage situation.
