Ceasefire reached after death of Palestinian hunger striker in Israeli prison.

Israel and Gaza terror groups agreed to a ceasefire mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and the United Nations after a day of violence sparked by the death of a Palestinian Islamic Jihad member in an Israeli prison. The ceasefire came after Gaza terrorists fired dozens of rockets and mortar shells into Israel, causing injuries and damage. The Israeli Air Force responded with airstrikes against Hamas terror targets in Gaza. The rocket attacks were in response to the death of Khader Adnan, who was on a hunger strike in prison.
