Fresh clashes broke out at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem and two rockets were fired from Gaza towards Israel as tensions spiked during the Passover holiday. The fighting followed overnight skirmishes between police and worshipers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, subsequent rocket fire from Gaza, and Israeli counterstrikes in the Strip. The IDF said one of the launches failed to clear the border and landed inside Gaza, and the second struck an open area near the border fence.
