Global Concerns: From Settler Violence to Wildfires.

Palestinian-Americans in the West Bank are demanding action on settler violence after a recent attack on a village. The attack resulted in the death of a Palestinian man who was trying to protect others. The delegation of diplomats led by European Union Representative Sven Küehn von Burgsdorff visited the village and stated that Israel has the obligation to protect the Palestinian population under its responsibility. UN Humanitarian Coordinator Lynn Hastings reported that settler violence has been rising sharply, with three reports of such violence per day in 2023. Palestinian-Americans are calling on the US government to hold Israel accountable and protect Palestinian villages and civilians.
