Israeli Forces' Raid in West Bank Leaves Palestinian Dead and Eight Injured

Israeli forces shot and killed a 23-year-old Palestinian man, Mahmoud Jarad, during a raid on the Tulkarem refugee camp in the occupied West Bank. Eight others were wounded in the incident. The Fatah party, which dominates the Palestinian Authority, stated that Jarad was a member but did not claim him as a fighter. The Tulkarem Brigade, affiliated with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, said they responded to the Israeli incursion with armed clashes and improvised explosive devices. Violence in the occupied West Bank has escalated in recent months, with increased Israeli raids, settler attacks, and Palestinian street violence.
