Millions Trapped in Sudan as Humanitarian Aid Becomes Impossible.

Fighting between rival political factions in Sudan has trapped millions of people in their homes, making it nearly impossible to provide humanitarian services in and around Khartoum, according to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent societies. At least 185 people have been killed and more than 1,800 injured in more than four days of fighting. A 24-hour ceasefire was agreed upon by rival commanders after calls by the US secretary of state, Antony Blinken, but gunfire could still be heard in Khartoum. Almost all international humanitarian operations have been suspended amid attacks on facilities run by the UN and others.
