Sudan ceasefire talks to resume in Saudi Arabia amidst ongoing battles.

Battles continue to rage in Khartoum and Geneina in the Darfur region despite a "declaration of principles" agreed upon by the warring army and Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitary force. The conflict has killed hundreds of people, displaced over 900,000, and risks destabilising the region. Ceasefire talks are set to resume in Saudi Arabia on Sunday, but residents are doubtful that either side will respect the agreement to protect civilians. The RSF has denied moving from its positions in Darfur and blamed the army and Bashir loyalists for the strife.
