Sudan Conflict Displaces Millions, Causes Health Crisis and Refugee Influx

Nearly 1.4 million people have been displaced in Sudan since conflict between two rival generals erupted in April, with over 1 million internally displaced and 345,000 fleeing to neighboring countries. Reports of gender-based and sexual violence have also been recorded. The conflict pits the Sudanese Armed Forces against the Rapid Support Forces, with a seven-day ceasefire brokered by Saudi Arabia and the United States ending on Monday. At least 730 individuals have been killed and about 5,500 others wounded, with attacks on health care premises and reports of looting and unexploded devices seen in urban areas.
