Sudan's capital rocked by violence during ceasefire talks.

Shelling and air strikes continue to hit parts of Sudan's capital, Khartoum, and surrounding areas despite ceasefire talks in Saudi Arabia. The conflict between the army and the Rapid Support Forces paramilitary has killed at least 676 people and injured 5,576, with many more missing and bodies left unburied. The unrest has triggered a humanitarian crisis, with 200,000 fleeing to neighboring countries and over 700,000 displaced inside Sudan. The conflict has also affected the economy, with the central bank governor replaced and bank accounts of the RSF and affiliated firms frozen. The sides agreed to a "declaration of principles" to protect civilians and secure humanitarian access, but the fighting has not let up.
