The Battle for Bakhmut: Russia and Ukraine Exchange Strikes.
TL;DR
Russian forces are increasing their use of heavy artillery and air strikes in the eastern city of Bakhmut, Ukraine, with the aim of taking the city "at any cost," according to General Oleksandr Syrskiy. Despite suffering significant losses, Moscow's forces are still in control of around 80% of the city, which has a population of around 70,000. Kyiv's military is expected to launch a counteroffensive in the coming weeks or months to recapture Russian-held territory.
