Turmoil and Violence in Kosovo Threaten International Relations.

Mladen Perovic, an ethnic Serbian cafe owner in northern Kosovo, has been labeled a "traitor" by a Serbian-language Telegram channel for sheltering journalists during violent clashes between Serbian protesters and NATO peacekeepers. Perovic had appealed to the crowd of Serbian protesters outside to ensure the safety of the journalists, who were mostly ethnic Albanians. Multiple attacks on journalists and their vehicles were reported during the unrest, mostly in Zvecan. The incident reflects an atmosphere charged by authorities on both sides of the border, according to the head of Serbia's Association of Independent Journalists.
