Violence Erupts at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem

Israeli forces stormed al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem, firing tear gas and stun grenades into the Qibli prayer hall and physically assaulting Palestinian worshippers observing Ramadan. The Palestine Red Crescent Society reported multiple injuries, including bruises, fractures, and breathlessness from inhaling tear gas. Israeli police arrested dozens of "rioters" and detained at least 200. The raid was widely condemned by Palestinians, and rockets were later fired from the Gaza Strip towards Israel. Israeli authorities have been removing worshippers from al-Aqsa Mosque every night since the start of Ramadan, and Temple Movement groups have called for mass stormings throughout the week-long Passover holiday.
