Violent clashes erupt as Druze protest against wind farm in Golan Heights.

Thousands of Druze Israelis protested against the construction of wind turbines in the Golan Heights, leading to clashes with Israel Police. Protestors attempted to take over a police station, throwing Molotov cocktails and stones at the police officers who responded by opening fire. Two protesters were injured by police fire. The police officer who shot one of the injured Druze protesters said that he "felt his life was in real danger." The situation could escalate into an intifada, warns a local council head.
