Wagner Boss Threatens Withdrawal Over Ammunition Shortage

Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of Russia's paramilitary Wagner Group, has threatened to withdraw his mercenaries from Bakhmut in eastern Ukraine due to a lack of thousands of artillery shells. He issued an ultimatum to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and gave him 24 hours to respond. Prigozhin has previously complained about the lack of support from Russia's military leadership and accused them of deliberately depriving his fighters of ammunition. The Wagner Group has played a key role in the 10-month battle for Bakhmut, where fighting continues as Russian forces try to cut off Ukraine's supply lines.
