IDF Chief Promises Swift Response as Ceasefire Ends

Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi has vowed to immediately resume attacking Gaza once the current ceasefire period is over. The ceasefire deal, brokered by Egypt, Qatar, and the U.S., includes the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas in exchange for the release of Palestinian prisoners. Halevi stated that the IDF will use the pause in hostilities to prepare and rest, but will return to dismantle Hamas and pressure for the release of all hostages. The ongoing conflict has resulted in significant casualties on both sides.
