Pro-Kyiv Russians Rally Wagner for Retribution in Ukraine

Pro-Kyiv Russian militants have called on the Wagner Group of mercenaries to switch sides and join them in seeking revenge for the deaths of Wagner founder Yevgeny Prigozhin and their commander Dmitry Utkin. Meanwhile, Russia's air defense forces claim to have destroyed 42 Ukraine-launched drones over the Crimean Peninsula and one missile over the Kaluga region. The U.S. State Department has imposed sanctions on 13 individuals and entities reportedly connected to the forced deportation and transfer of Ukrainian children, while Ukraine's navy and military intelligence conducted a "special operation" in which units landed on Russian-occupied Crimea.
