Roi Yifrach, a 35-year-old Israeli man, has been indicted for impersonating a soldier and stealing military equipment, including weapons and sensitive gear, after he infiltrated an army unit amidst the chaos following a Hamas attack. Despite never having served in the military, Yifrach fought against Hamas for two months and was found with a cache of stolen military items upon his arrest. His lawyer claims Yifrach was acting as a paramedic and heroically defending Israel. Four others, including a police officer, have been detained in connection with the theft.
