Con artist's escape attempt foiled as he gets trapped on window ledge

A man in China conned eight women out of over $400,000 by pretending to be a successful businessman, but his escape plan was foiled when he got stuck on a window ledge while trying to flee from one of his victims. The man, surnamed Nie, fostered relationships with the women on an online dating site, sent them money to gain their trust, and then borrowed money from them with promises of repayment. After being confronted by one of the women, he attempted to escape through a window but had to call for help when he got stuck on the 23rd floor. Nie is now in custody and under investigation.
