Drug smugglers use maple syrup to hide millions worth of meth

TL;DR
Authorities from Canada, Australia, and New Zealand worked together to bust a multi-million dollar international drug scheme that intended to import methamphetamine from Canada to Australia and New Zealand by hiding them in shipments of maple syrup and canola oil. Several local arrests were made in New Zealand and Australia. In total, the Australian police intercepted four separate drug hauls weighing more than six tons. This is the largest interception of methamphetamine in New Zealand, and six men were arrested in the country.
