Fatal Shooting at Egyptian Tourist Site: 2 Israelis and 1 Egyptian Killed
TL;DR
An Egyptian policeman opened fire on Israeli tourists at the Pompey's Pillar site in Alexandria, killing at least two Israelis and one Egyptian. Another person was wounded in the attack, and the suspected assailant has been detained. Security forces cordoned off the site, and amateur videos showed ambulances transporting the victims. The attack occurred as Israel was dealing with Palestinian terrorists, and while Egypt has a peace agreement with Israel, anti-Israeli sentiment remains high in the country.
