Manfred Genditzki, who spent over 13 years in prison for the "bathtub murder" of an elderly woman, has been acquitted after a retrial in Germany. Genditzki, a caretaker at the woman's apartment complex, had been convicted of murder in 2010. However, experts at the retrial concluded that the woman likely died as a result of an accident, possibly falling into the bathtub and drowning. Genditzki is now entitled to compensation for his wrongful imprisonment, with reports suggesting he will receive €368,400 ($400,000), though critics argue this amount is too low.
