Italian police seized two tons of cocaine worth nearly $450 million that were found wrapped in protective plastic and floating in the sea off eastern Sicily. The cocaine was strung together with netting, and investigators believe it was left in the sea by a cargo ship as part of a scheme for another vessel to bring it to land. Police aircraft flew over the area to spot any other cocaine bundles that might have separated from the netting.
