Massive Liquid Meth Seizure Disguised as Tequila Bottles in Mexican Port

Mexican Navy inspectors discovered nearly 10 tons of concentrated liquid meth hidden in 11,520 tequila bottles bound for export at the Pacific coast seaport of Manzanillo. Mexico is the world's only producer of authentic tequila, and while there have not been any reported instances of such bottles reaching consumers, ingesting the mixture would be immensely dangerous. Drug smugglers frequently use liquid meth in their windshield washer fluid or other containers in their cars, and the liquid meth is usually recovered and taken to specialized facilities where the water is extracted and the drug is then returned to its crystal form.
