MSU Wells Hall Meth Lab Arrest Triggers Campus Closure
A 31-year-old Xin Tong was arrested for allegedly operating a meth lab inside Michigan State University’s Wells Hall, facing charges of malicious destruction of a building over $20,000 and operating/maintaining a meth lab. Tong was arraigned with a $500,000 bond; Wells Hall will be closed through May 1 while officials assess the building. MSU police say there is no campus-wide threat and exams have been relocated as the university works to return to normal operations.
