Melissa Caddick's Death Confirmed by Coroner After Discovery of Severed Foot.

Missing fraudster Melissa Caddick, who disappeared after ASIC and AFP investigators raided her home over an alleged $23m Ponzi scheme, has been determined dead by a coroner after her severed foot was discovered on a remote beach. The coroner ruled out the possibility that Caddick severed her own foot to go on the run, saying there was no trail of evidence and she would have needed medical attention. It is suspected that she died by suicide by jumping off the cliffs near her home before the foot washed up on Bournda Beach, on the NSW south coast, on February 21, 2021.
