Police Shoot Woman in Hijab After Threats on Paris Train

Police in Paris shot an unarmed woman in a subway station after she allegedly shouted "Allahu Akbar" and threatened to blow herself up. Despite the threats, no explosive devices were found on the woman or at the scene. The woman is being investigated for potential charges including making death threats against police and justifying terrorism. A separate investigation has been launched into the conduct of the police officers. France has been on high alert against terrorism since a teacher was stabbed to death in October 2020.
