Singapore Executes Second Citizen in Three Weeks for Drug Trafficking

Singapore has executed another citizen for drug trafficking, the second in three weeks, despite growing calls to abolish the death penalty. The 37-year-old man was hanged after his last-ditch attempt to reopen his case was dismissed by the court. He had been imprisoned for seven years and convicted in 2019 for trafficking 1.5kg of cannabis.
