Assessing the Implications of China-Taiwan Tensions.

The director of cybersecurity at the National Security Agency (NSA), Rob Joyce, has warned US tech firms to prepare for the chaos that would ensue if China invaded Taiwan. Joyce said that the complexity of the situation would be even worse than the Russian invasion of Ukraine, as Taiwan is more intertwined with the global economy and China poses a greater cyber threat. He advised companies to start planning now and to tabletop their response to identify pain points. Joyce also suggested that US firms could learn from how Ukrainian companies protected themselves during the Russian invasion, including moving activity off data centers physically on Ukrainian territory to cloud servers in the West.
