Russian Cybersecurity Chief Sentenced to 14 Years for Treason

Ilya Sachkov, co-founder of Russian cybersecurity firm Group-IB, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for treason. Sachkov was accused of passing classified information to foreign spies. The details of the case remain classified, but Sachkov's former colleagues plan to appeal the conviction and seek intervention from Russian President Vladimir Putin. Group-IB, now known as FACCT, continues to operate and fight against cybercrime.
